About the role

Payment: Scheduled stipends in middle and end of fall and spring seasons

Contract Duration: August 2024 – end of October 2024, February 2025 – end of May 2025 [then contract is reviewed for renewal]

Season Schedule: Monday/Wednesday practices 7pm – 9pm, Saturday morning games

Qualifications:

  • Level 200 USA Rugby Coaching Certification or equivalent experience.
    If the Coach does not have this certification at the time of hiring, they must obtain it when available.
  • Knowledge of current attack systems and defensive structures

Practices: 

  • Share plans with captains and assistant coach before practice
  • Attend 90% of practices
  • Give as much notice as possible if unable to attend practice
  • Provide a plan for practice that captains can run if unable to attend
  • Give positive and constructive feedback to the team and individual players
  • Review and implement strategies, tactics, and plays to prepare for matches
  • Enforce safety when practicing contact

Games:

  • Create and announce lineups for each game
  • Provide a warm up routine for team to do before each game
  • Be willing/able to discuss lineup decisions with players who have questions
  • Review game film and provide feedback to team and individual players
