Providence Rugby Football Club (PRFC) is seeking a coach for the 2025 Fall Season. Providence Men’s (Division 3) team had a slow start but ultimately had a successful Fall season, advancing to the D3 playoffs and beating some D2 opponents in the Spring.
PRFC is looking for a passionate leader to help plan practices, and develop and lead a win strategy for games, with the support of Captains and team leadership. The club is made up of a strong group of dedicated players with a wide range of rugby knowledge. The coach will plan practices that improve a basic understanding for new players, and advanced skill development and strategy for senior players. The men practice Tuesdays and Thursdays in Providence from 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
– Plan and facilitate the two weekly practices, concentrating on skills training, fitness, and game-time decision making.
– Attend all Saturday matches, home and away, managing roster selections and substitutions.
– Design dynamic drills to enhance offensive and defensive attack.
– Provide constructive feedback to players of all skill levels and positions.
-Communicate with club officers and players in a fun, safe, and welcoming environment.
Requirements:
– 5+ years rugby experience.
– A passion to nourish and evolve club pride and culture.
– USA Rugby certification 200 level or greater.
Providence Men’s Rugby is a well established club playing in NERFU D3. We have strong player attendance for both home and away games, and are working on growing experience opportunities for both veteran players, and newer players in competitive and B-side matches.
