About the role

Charles River Rugby United (CRRU) is seeking a coach for the 2026 Spring and Fall seasons and beyond. CRRU is a competitive, community-driven club based in South Boston with players ranging from newer athletes to experienced rugby veterans. The club is looking for a collaborative, communicative leader to plan and run effective practices, guide match-day strategy, and support continued player and team development in partnership with team captains.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and lead (2) weekly practices on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with structured, inclusive sessions that accommodate varying skill levels while preparing for league competition.
• Attend and coach all scheduled matches, collaborating with captains on roster selections and game management.
• Communicate openly with players regarding selections, playing time, and development, fostering a positive and cohesive team culture.
• Work closely with club leadership and maintain professionalism with league officials and governing bodies.

REQUIREMENTS
• Prior rugby playing and/or coaching experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• USA Rugby Level 1 Coaching Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Commitment to upholding CRRU’s Code of Conduct.
