This clinic is more than just a certification—it’s a masterclass crafted by two of the most experienced minds in American rugby. Our curriculum was intentionally designed by a pair of decorated coaches with extensive experience across all levels of the game, from grassroots development to the professional ranks of Major League Rugby (MLR).
Meet the architects of the curriculum:
Kevin Battle: A veteran coach with a remarkable track record, Kevin has been a key figure in the development of American rugby. His career includes serving on the USA Rugby National Team coaching staff, coaching with the now-defunct Los Angeles Giltinis, and holding the role of Head of Rugby Development for the MLR franchise. Known for his ability to build successful programs from the ground up, Kevin’s curriculum focuses on developing a strong team culture and implementing cutting-edge strategies.
Dave Clancy: A native of Limerick, Ireland, Dave brings a wealth of international and professional experience to the field. He has held prestigious coaching roles with the Munster Academy, the Samoan national program, and the Cayman Islands national team. Stateside, his success as the Director of Rugby for the Chicago Lions led to a head coaching role at UCLA. Most recently, Dave has served as the Backs and Attack Coach for the Chicago Hounds in MLR, showcasing his expertise in orchestrating dynamic offensive systems.
This exclusive program, in partnership with Major League Rugby, is designed for active coaches with a World Rugby Level 2 Certification or equivalent experience. The four half-day, in-person modules will provide deep dives into advanced attack and defensive systems, set-piece mastery, and leadership.
