After advancing from the Atlantic Super Regional Rugby Playoffs on April 30 and May 1, the Division 2 Women’s team from Providence Rugby have secured the national championship!
“We at NERFU could not be more thrilled about the results,” says Union Administrator Jeremy Hammond, “we congratulate the players, coaches, administrators, and supporters of Providence Rugby for their well earned victory!”
Providence handily defeated the Palmer College Dragons from Davenport, Iowa with a score of 27 to 13 in the semi-final on May 21st.
The following day, the team from New England walloped Knoxville Minx from Tennessee by 25 to 8, winning the championship.
