Are you ready to take your rugby coaching to the next level? This Fall, we’re partnering with Major League Rugby (MLR) to bring you an exclusive, advanced coaching clinic designed for active coaches in New England. This isn’t your introductory course; we’re looking for coaches with a minimum World Rugby Level 2 Coaching Certification or equivalent experience who are committed to elevating their game.

This unique program will be delivered through four half-day, in-person modules, featuring a mixture of classroom discussion and field work, each meticulously crafted to sharpen your expertise across critical aspects of rugby. Dive deep into attack strategies, defensive systems, and set-piece mastery, all while gaining practical, immediately implementable takeaways you can bring directly to your club. What’s more, between sessions, you’ll have the invaluable opportunity to discuss your experiences and challenges with fellow coaches, fostering deeper retention and accelerated growth.

But this clinic is about more than just drills and tactics. We believe in the power of rugby to build community. This program emphasizes creating a fun and engaging environment that directly contributes to player recruitment and retention, ultimately strengthening your club’s culture and ensuring its long-term health.

The curriculum for this program has been principally developed by Kevin Battle, who also serves as the primary instructor. Kevin’s extensive CV speaks for itself: currently the Director of Youth Rugby Initiatives at MLR, he previously served as CEO of Rugby LA, Team Manager for the LA Giltinis, and USA Rugby National Team Manager. Additional coaches from other MLR teams, including the New England Free Jacks, were instrumental in the curriculum development, ensuring a breadth of top-tier expertise.
